Press release
VIP Computer Centre Ltd (VIP), the UK's leading independent distributor of computer components and peripherals, today announced the addition of SANYO to their portfolio, welcoming onboard a product line never seen before at VIP.
The deal sees LCD TVs, digital cameras and for the first time, projectors, come into stock at VIP. Phil Brown, SANYO Product Manager at VIP, sees great value in his new acquisition, commenting: "Now is a great time to get onboard with SANYO. There are some good margin-making opportunities for resellers to take advantage of, especially while they are not overly distributed."
SANYO's diverse projector range offers a model to cater for every need, from the ultra-portable and lightweight for mobile use to high-end fixed installations.
VIP's new range of SANYO digital cameras includes dual, waterproof dual and compact HD dual models. "The SANYO Xacti range of dual cameras combines the benefits of digital still cameras and camcorders in a single unit, allowing users to simultaneously and seamlessly move from taking photos to videos", Brown added. They also offer a unique slide slow feature that allows users to view photos and videos without having to switch modes, whether viewing content directly on the camera or via a television screen.
With 19" to 52" options on offer, SANYO's LCD TVs are HD or Full HD ready, and certain SKUs also feature integrated DVD players. "SANYO products offer end users low prices on high quality products from a well known name", commented Brown.
Ian Aitken, Distribution Sales Manager at SANYO commented: "SANYO is still well established as one of the strongest projector brands in the UK. In an increasingly tough UK market our competition continues to change the shape of their business, in reaction to this SANYO's route to market in the UK must also evolve. We see the new relationship with VIP as a great chance to expand into incremental markets. Not just in projectors but chiefly across our new Industry first range of dual HD cameras and our impressive fully specified LCD TV's."
