Corsair steps up watercooling with Hydro X series
Attempts to make it easy for enthusiasts to upgrade from AIOs.
Custom watercooling is a key focus for Corsair in 2H 2019. It will soon offer a wide range of watercooling parts - CPU blocks, GPU blocks, and pumps - which are designed by the company, with supporting cast products such as the radiator and fittings by well-known companies in their respective fields.
Key to potential success is to make proper watercooling as easy as possible to understand and install. To this end, Corsair will have a comprehensive web-based configurator that calculates the selection of products needed for a particular loop, advising you of what works well with what.
From what we saw during a suite tour, it ought to be relatively easy for even a novice to built a custom loop - there's a wide range of blocks for all the major sockets - and everything ties together with its iCUE software.
