Conclusion
We found the CF-S968 to be a very good performing machine that even gave the ASUS P4G8X a run for its money in most of our benchmarks. As a quiet 2D workstation or office workhorse the CF-S968 is be a real contender if using the onboard graphics. Adding a decent AGP graphics card makes the machine perfect for gaming. With its inherent transportability this machine has to be the perfect solution for LAN gaming.
Aesthetically the machine is beautiful and built of very high quality materials. Noise is not an issue, although until it is silent there is always room for improvement.
Before you all rush out to buy one, it should be remembered that it does have its faults, although performance is not one of them. Even experienced PC builders will find installing hardware into the CF-S968 a nightmare and who ever decided to put the PS/2 sockets for mouse and keyboard on the front of the case needs to be…….
If CubeSystemZ is prepared to put that extra effort into the internal design and product literature then the CF-S968 would be an absolute winner. As it currently stands the Shuttle is probably a better all round solution, but a lot will depend on image and which look people prefer.
Pros
Very Impressive Performance
Stylish and Great looks
Very good quality components
Cons
Hard to fit parts internally
PS/2 Sockets located on front of case

Editors Update
We have spoken to CubeSystemZ this morning they have a new shipment of these products coming in with the PS2 ports on the back of the unit - they took our feedback very strongly (We had spoken to them before the review was up on the site.) Also we have been told that PCWorld in the UK have them going direct in to stock
