Though we've been short of high-profile game releases in the latter half of 2020, hardware enthusiasts have never had it better.

In the space of a few months we've seen the introduction of Nvidia's hard-hitting RTX 3000 Series, AMD's best-ever CPUs in the form of Ryzen 5000 Series, AMD's fastest Radeon graphics cards, and to top it all off, a quartet of next-gen games consoles from Microsoft and Sony.

Plenty to get excited about, and good reason for the PC Master Race to consider an upgrade. For the more discerning enthusiast, Scan's 3XS Gamer RTX delivers latest-generation tech wrapped in a tidy package keenly priced at £1,500. That amount opens the door to a six-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce RTX 3070 graphics and a 1TB M.2 SSD. Essentially the three core components we'd choose when speccing a QHD gaming rig.

Bottom line: the 3XS Gamer RTX is a well-rounded mid-range gaming PC, but there's no guarantee you'll get one this side of Christmas.
