Que pasa, and thoughts
Corsair08
It's not difficult to determine where the wedge hit the SURVIVOR.
And the bent nature of the USB connector.
Such was the impact of the wedge, that it was practically impossible to unscrew the cylinder from the drive. Two wrenches had to be used to remove the outer section.
Finally, the drive stopped working, after tyrannical abuse, and, joking and hilarity aside, we've sacrificed a 32GB SURVIVOR to show you that it won't break down until extreme and stupid measures are taken.
Interestingly, the Voyager drive lost its cap during wedge-style execution but carried on working. Perhaps it should be named as the new SURVIVOR?
Final thoughts
Available in capacities up to 32GB, the Corsair SURVIVOR series will take almost everything you can throw at them. The aesthetically good-looking drive is protected by thick aluminium that will buffer everyday knocks and continue working.
Reading and writing speeds are adequate for such a capacious model, and knowing that a number of Intel Atom-powered netbook use USB-based flash storage as means of expanding internal disk space, adding a large-capacity stick makes implicit sense.
32GB is still at the forefront of flash storage and you pay the privilege for it. The Corsair 32GB SURVIVOR is currently available for around £79, including VAT, and if you can stomach the cost, it's an ever-so-handy storage medium.

Large, good-looking and versatile, the Corsair SURVIVOR 32GB makes sense for those who need capacity and a modicum of speed in a portable USB pendrive.
