Conclusion

Equipped with a faster controller and better NAND, it's a significant step up from the MP500...

Good news for the enthusiast is that SSD prices are dropping. Better supply, newer technology that adds more bits per cell, and renewed competition has driven the financial outlay for a 1TB drive for less than Ā£120.

Not bad, but premium performance still dictates spending more. Corsair now plays in this territory with the new-and-improved Force MP510. Equipped with a faster controller and better NAND, it's a significant step up from the MP500, and good enough to challenge the fastest consumer NVMe drives around.

Excellent endurance, quality performance, and decent warranty enable the Corsair MP510 960GB drive to garner our recommended award.

Knowing that - in general - higher capacity SSDs are faster than their smaller capacity models, why would you compare a 1Tb-class drive against a 256Gb 950 Pro?
Surely a 1Tb 970 EVO would be a more fair comparison?

Very valid point. same size comparison would have been lot more useful.
