Conclusion

Based on an established Seasonic platform and ticking most boxes, the 650W model, priced at £90, has potential.

Antec has realised that the enthusiast market is changing. With greater emphasis on energy efficiency from all companies, high-performance builds can be driven easily with a sub-1,000W PSU.

The EDGE series, backed by a five-year warranty, offers a solid mix of features and performance. Based on an established Seasonic platform and ticking most boxes, the 650W model, priced at £90, has potential.

But the PSU market is crowded with very good supplies. Spending the same sort of money brings forth supplies with a hybrid-fan mode - great if you like quiet computing - longer warranties, more capacities and a fan that's quieter when running at full pelt.

The Antec EDGE 650W remains a competent power supply irrespective of the strong competition. A couple of tweaks would elevate it from good to great.

That's a great review! Thanks.
That'll go nicely with MSI's G-Series mobos and graphics cards :)
