Conclusion

If your aim is a solid, no-nonsense FHD panel with excellent FreeSync framerate coverage, the iiyama GB2560HSU is a good, safe bet.

iiyama has a fine balancing act to consider with this G-Master GB2560HSU screen.

Keeping to a full-HD resolution but catering for the enthusiast with a wide, 40-144Hz FreeSync range makes sense for those that prefer stutter-free gaming at high framerates - the kind of crowd that plays, say, Overwatch hour after hour.

Yet extending this FreeSync range above the more common 75Hz pushes pricing up significantly, from £130 to £220. It's this rather large premium, which is normal for this combination of resolution and FreeSync support, that brings a bevy of other screens into play.

Decent QHD screens with solid FreeSync support become available, as does IPS panel technology for better productivity and video watching performance.

Yet those looking at this monitor will likely care less for that. If your aim is a solid, no-nonsense FHD panel with excellent FreeSync framerate coverage, the iiyama GB2560HSU is a good, safe bet.
