This no-holds-barred, £2,000 laptop takes few prisoners in its attempt to out-gun most of the competition with an array of components that will put many a desktop to shame. A quad-core Intel Skylake CPU, GeForce GTX 980M graphics, NVMe PCIe storage, 16GB of DDR4 memory, six USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C and an IPS G-Sync display. The list goes on.
That's a whole lot of goodies for a 17.3in machine, but there are one or two inevitable provisos. Battery life hasn't improved over last year's model, the baseline SSD offers only a 128GB capacity, and if you're contemplating parting with this amount of money, you may well be inclined to wait for the Anniversary Edition touting a full-fat desktop GTX 980.
