Conclusion

...undercuts most 15.6in competitors while remaining a cut above in terms of presentation and build quality.

Lenovo's latest-generation Legion 7i is in our estimation one of the best gaming laptops currently on the market.

Priced at £2,200 when outfitted with a Core i7-10875H and GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q, the laptop undercuts most 15.6in competitors while remaining a cut above in terms of presentation and build quality.

That isn't to say the laptop is perfect, mind. The available configuration options on Lenovo's UK site are frustratingly limited, battery life could be better, a higher-resolution display would be welcome, and the unexplained absence of Nvidia Advanced Optimus is nothing short of disappointing.

Caveats and gaming laptops go hand-in-hand, yet the Legion 7i does enough to warrant recommendation. All-round performance is excellent, the keyboard, trackpad and speaker system are enjoyable to use, an upgraded cooling configuration delivers quiet computing during everyday tasks, and the bright 144Hz G-Sync display is well-suited to gaming at 1080p.

Bottom line: there's still room for improvement, but Lenovo's Legion line of laptops are edging toward gaming perfection. 2020's Legion 7i is its best effort yet.

I now pull the same face reading Intel CPU inside that I used to pull seeing AMD CPU inside lol. Oh the times have changed

I am curious though as to why there's no AMD comparison in CPU ? Or just not had one to compare it to yet ? I thought I seen a review here of a new'ish one.

the bad for uk not good they can keep it …..
Intel give the OEM's shed loads of development cash and help with design of them, pretty sure AMD doesnt really do this so Intel can pretty much tell the OEM's no HALO products with competitor cpu's or limit with GFX options.
This despite the desire for AMD based solutions.
I recently got the HP x360 13" Envy with the 4700u, love this laptop and fits in the bag I used to have a Surface Pro 4 in!
It is all nice but what temperatures are they recorded under… room temp at 10? 20? 30? degrees celcius… due to that I dont know if the the product would be useable if need to add additional degrees to or from?
