--- Thermal Performance, Conclusion and Certification

Thermal Performance

We'd kind of warmed to the Freezer 7 Pro, so the one thing we didn't want to see is it getting things wrong with its cooling capability but the initial signs didn't look too promising. A high idle reading on the CPU coupled with slightly warm motherboard readings wasn't a great first showing.

But the Freezer 7 Pro is a fighter and there was marked improvement under load, showing it's a bit of a performer, too. Here it was coming in a full seven degrees lower than the Intel stock cooler.

Conclusion

The Freezer 7 Pro from Arctic Cooling is a stalwart of the market, having been around longer than most, and its popularity seems to be well founded. With a price point as keen as it is, easy installation and better-than-average performance, there is no doubt it's a quality cooler on a budget.

Given that some people's buying choices are dictated by more than looks and wow-factor, you can see why the Freezer 7 Pro continues to sell well.
