Cooler Master Eclipse - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

Cooler Master is one of the best-known and well-established of brands. Many will recall that its Aero range of old brought something unusual to the market, both in its cheap aluminium form and the more expensive pure-copper variant.

The Eclipse is one of a pair of new coolers from Cooler Master, the other being the Mars. Initial impressions of both are pretty good but out of the two we decided to look at the more radical Eclipse as part of our review.

Packaging

The packaging on the Cooler Master Eclipse has clearly been designed with the retail shelf in mind. The cardboard sleeve covers a moulded plastic shell that cocoons the cooler securely in place.

The plastic shell contains the bare cooler along with the accessories in a compartment down the bottom. The usual features are on the packaging, with detailed specifications – as well as compatible CPUs and sockets.
