Final Thoughts and Rating
Having successfully expanded into PC chassis and CPU coolers, Corsair's foray into system fans should come as no surprise.
Attempting to cover most bases, the first Air Series Fans offer unique characteristics tailored to specific in-system roles. Whether it's basic chassis airflow or radiator cooling that's required, the Air Series provides a solution and does so at a reasonable price.
Undercutting some of the options available from established names like Noctua and Scythe, the 120mm Air Series Fans are an attractive option at around £12 apiece. They look good, perform well, and with three coloured interchangeable rings bundled as standard, they're an easy match for almost any chassis.
But in producing decent fans, Corsair has put itself in a bit of a predicament; the Air Series range is a good step up from the company's default chassis fans, so we now expect to see a couple of Air Series units included as standard with many of its premium enclosures.
Bottom line: If you're serious about airflow and system noise, the Air Series Fans are a good step up from most stock chassis fans.
