Conclusion

...stands out from the crowd courtesy of a high-profile pump flaunting some of the most striking RGB lighting effects we've seen on a CPU cooler.

Deepcool might not yet be a household name, however the Chinese manufacturer continues to impress with eye-catching products that tend to offer something a little different to the norm.

The latest such example is the Gamer Storm Castle 240RGB. Priced at Ā£96 and backed by a three-year warranty, this all-in-one solution stands out from the crowd courtesy of a high-profile pump flaunting some of the most striking RGB lighting effects we've seen on a CPU cooler.

A fine choice when building an elaborately illuminated rig, though there are a few points to consider. There's more cabling than your average all-in-one, the bundled fans aren't the quietest, and the size of the pump might be off-putting to those who've become accustomed to low-profile designs.

Bottom line: want to make sure your next build is as pretty as it is powerful? Deepcool's Gamer Storm Castle 240RGB ought to be on your shortlist.

The Good

The Bad
Striking pump design
Wide CPU support, inc. Threadripper
Synchronised addressable RGB lighting
Good cooling performance
Well-thought-out bundle

Fans not the quietest
A fair few cables to contend with

Deepcool have been a household name for me for a number of years now, I feel like the hipster of computer builders.
I'm going to buy one of these and take my PC to the next gay pride parade. Can you say “fllllllaming!”
It would be good to test it against the stock cooler on the 2700X.
Any chance of slipping a Noctua air model into the comparisons ? NH-D15 is a pretty popular cooler so is useful for comparison, plus I'm a slut for them.
