Conclusion

Overall the Antec Fusion is one of the best looking chassis to hit the mainstream HTPC market so far, whilst there are others on the market which may offer better looks and functionality, they certainly don’t come in at the same price point.

The Fusion is a solid, well designed solution that performs well in thermal tests and acoustic performance – and that would have been enough for our recommendation, but the included Antec 430W power supply really is icing on the cake.

If there was one downside to the chassis it would have to be that it’s restricted to Micro ATX sized motherboards, a shame in one respect, but this downside is minor when you consider how good the chassis is elsewhere.

For anyone who is looking to get into the HTPC market, or in fact if you already are, you really should consider the Antec Fusion – it really is a very well executed product.

We have awarded the Antec Fusion the HEXUS Labs Recommended and HEXUS Labs Good Value awards.

“The VFD itself is powered through a floppy drvie” - drvie sounds like something from linux to me :)
is the VFD compatible with windows MCE?
Looks very nice and would blend in with most people HT setups.

Shame its uATX though.

is the VFD compatible with windows MCE?

It is compatible, as it is based on the iMon VFD design……however, BEWARE, as it includes no IR. That means no remotes will work, and there is no space to mount one internally…..

Hmmm, oversight much!! Thanks Antec….
