Evesham smash Gates' embargo by 2 weeks with Vista Express Upgrade

The Vista Express Upgrade offer was not supposed to be advertised until 26th October, but Evesham have already flooded the local 'comics' with an offer that says every qualifying system bought from today onwards will come with a special in-box voucher.

Anyone considering the purchase of a new system from Dell and HP would be nuts not to take advantage of this offer from Evesham.

Running across the top of the adverts is the claim that Evesham 'recommends Windows XP Media Center Edition', when in fact they seem rather more keen to push sales of the Vista Express Upgrade pack.

When called, the sales team at Dell appeared to have no idea what the upgrade offer was all about.

Vista upgrades abound - but clarity is no where to be found. We are waiting for an official comment from Microsoft, Dell, Evesham and others. Please post your take in the HEXUS.community
