OCZ Technology have today unleashed their VBoost USB 2.0 flash drive range, specially designed for use with Windows Vista's 'ReadyBoost' feature.

Capacities are 1GB, 2GB and 4GB and the drive is backed by a three-year warranty.

The Windows Vista 'ReadyBoost' feature enables the OCZ VBoost USB 2.0 flash drive to function as supplemental cache memory, allowing for the faster storage and retrieval of system data and applications.

The OCZ VBoost range boasts a retractable USB plug. This gives protection for the connector and does away with any possibility of losing a cap cover which would leave a drive's USB connector exposed and susceptible to damage.

As well as providing support for 'ReadyBoost', OCZ's VBoost also functions as a normal, high-capacity, flash-storage drive.

looks good, i'm all for a vista boost :D lol
tbh i think all this ‘designed for vista’ & ‘Vista ready Boost capable’ is all crappy marketing to boost sales, ‘specially designed for it’? gawd i thought all memory sticks with a high enough transfer rate could do ready boost?

i mean how many companys have not currently got a ‘ready boost capable’ range?

how many people here actually this technology currently?
more ram > vista readyboost, isnt it?

if so, why bother with this, its just a poor mans ram …surely?
What's stopping me making an existing stick into one of these? (that's a serious question!)

I think I agree with jack, it all appears to be marketing
