One of the latest storage technologies to hit the computing world is Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and it's continually increasing in popularity.

SAS is much more flexible than old school SCSI, allowing connection of up to 128 devices and with SES2 gives a server operator feedback on the status of the servers storage arrays and fans, alerting them to any disasters. Boston is announcing that its latest range of SAS solutions will be delivering the SES2 capability that can be found on Supermicro hardware.

Back in December, Armari made the same announcement, so it seems Supermicro is teaming up with an increasing number of distributors to deliver its SAS solutions.
