Corsair has today continued its onslaught of USB flash drives with the introduction of an entirely new line - the Flash Survivor GT series.

Available in 32GB and 64GB capacities, the new drives combine the "ultra-durable metal housing" available from existing Flash Survivor models with signature red GT highlights.

Corsair doesn't seem to be going into specifics, but we'd hope that the GT branding brings with it an increase in performance.

What we do know is that the drives will withstand the harshest of conditions. We've previously found Survivor drives unsuitable for a round of Golf, and we know they don't like being run over by a 15-tonne armoured personnel carrier, but it certainly takes some effort to kill one of these things.

Both drives are backed by Corsair's 10-year limited warranty, and SCAN.co.uk* has pricing for the 32GB and 64GB models sat at £83.39 and £158.30, respectively.

Yeah, ok. Think I'll stick with my water resistant and very tough Super Talent Pico C (8gb) and E (16gb)

I won't be buying another Corsair USB stick when the USB connector simply fell off my supposedly similarly indestructible (and genuine) Voyager. You have to wonder how they pass so many tests when after cutting mine open, the only thing I could see which previously held the connector on was soldier. Not necessarily accusing Corsair of producing press samples or special batches, but either Scan got my batch off the back of a lorry (unlikely given the speed), or what you see in reviews isn't always what you end up buying.

I've got myself an OCZ Turbo now. So far the end hasn't fallen off.
