We knew it was happening, but Corsair has today gone ahead and officially announced what it's calling the world's fastest 128GB USB flash drive - the 128GB Flash Voyager GT.
The drive, pictured below, measures 102mm x 39mm x 18mm and utilises a dual-controller design that Corsair claims is capable of achieving read and write speeds of up to 32MB/s and 25.6MB/s, respectively.
We're told it's limited only by the speed of the USB 2.0 bus, and we'd be interested in seeing how quick it can go via the upcoming USB 3.0 interface (also known as SuperSpeed USB).
We wouldn't expect anything less than class-leading performance from Corsair, and the 128GB Voyager GT - complete with Corsair's 10-year warranty - doesn't disappoint. Trouble is, it also carries the hefty price tag associated with high-end parts. We're talking over £300, ouch.
