After launching its budget Signature Series earlier this year, California's Patriot Memory is now shifting its focus to the other end of the scale by introducing its gamer-targeted G-Series.
Said to feature an "enhanced latency", the G-Series kits will be available in DDR2 and DDR3 flavours, and promise to provide would-be buyers with "the look and feel of many of the high-end gaming memory products, but with an advantageous price".
Keeping in mind the price promise, Patriot's quickest G-Series kit is currently a 6GB tri-channel kit (3x2GB) clocked at 1,600MHz with latencies at 9-9-9-24. Quick, if not earth shattering, but useful if the price is right.
Patriot's marketing manager JR Wakabayashi tells us to expect "a reasonable cost", but we've yet to see specific numbers. We'd expect retail availability soon, and the initial G-Series range will be made up of the following DDR2 and DDR3 kits:
