Power Supply Unit Manufacturers Are Eager For AMD Approval

Corsair and OCZ Technology and just two of the twenty six power supply unit manufacturers so far, who together with AMD, have today released details of some 110 power supply units that are certified for use with AMD Radeon HD2900 XT graphics card solutions.

AMD have described how the initiative allows users to build ultimate custom PCs, whilst also enjoying ultra quiet systems, courtesy of an array of acoustic options ranging from improved cooling to improved thermal handling.

The Sunnyvale, CA company go on to express belief that options including six or eight pin PCI-e power connectors allow for a greater margin for performance tuning, leading to a better game playing experience.

Other manufacturers featuring on the list of units certified for use with AMD Radeon HD2900XT solutions, include Enermax, Mushkin, PC Power & Cooling, Silverstone, Tagan and Thermaltake.
