MSI was showcasing the same product range as any other leading motherboard manufacturer, meaning boards featuring a collection of new Intel chipsets, a couple of NVIDIA nForce 7050 offerings and a whole host of older tech that, really, is simply there to fill the presentation area.
Speaking of Intel, MSI's G33 Platinum D3, shown above, is based on the upcoming, well, G33 Express chipset (Bearlake) that'll support upcoming 45nm CPUs that will be run off a 1333MHz FSB.
G33 also represents a new IGP that's rather tasty, but seeing as Intel hasn't officially launched the chipset, we'd be remiss in talking about its next-gen. architecture, right?
On a completely unrelated note, here's Rys holding what is, perhaps, the funkiest-looking laptop anywhere in Hannover. Would you not be seen dead with it, or is the cover just the thing to promote individuality? Have your say in the HEXUS.community.
