Apple has today confirmed that its highly sought after iPad will be made available in a further nine countries beginning Friday, May 28th, with UK pricing starting at £429.
The iPad, which first went on sale in the US on April 3rd, has already sold over one million units and looks set to revolutionise the tablet market.
Starting Monday, May 10th, a further nine countries - Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK - will be able to pre-order the device from Apple's online store for delivery 18 days later on May 28th.
In the UK, prices will start at £429 for the entry-level 16GB model, and rise to £499 and £599 for the 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi models, respectively. Apple's premium solution - the iPad 3G - will be priced at £529 for 16GB, £599 for 32GB and £699 for 64GB.
Other regions, however, will be made to wait, with Apple confirming that Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore won't see the iPad in stores until July.
