There seems to be no stopping the rumours surrounding a potential tablet computer from Apple, but the latest could be the most informative yet.
According to a report from Barrons.com, an unnamed "veteran analyst" has actually seen and used a prototype of Apple's rumoured tablet device. The analyst suggests that the portable system, which features a 10in multi-touch screen, is "close enough now to a final design" and could be officially unveiled in September, with retail availability pencilled in for November.
One would believe that the Apple tablet is seemingly inevitable, and the analyst goes on to suggest a retail price of around $700 - $800. Similar reports have suggested that the Apple tablet would be little more than an over-sized iPhone, but this analyst claims the device can handle high-def video, making it a more useful portable media player.
There's still no official confirmation from Apple itself, and we're somewhat surprised to find that the unnamed analyst wasn't threatened to keep quiet.
Nonetheless, an Apple tablet is looking increasingly likely. Should it happen, what would you like to see it called? We quite like the sound of iPad.
