ASUS is known to have been keen to bring touchscreen Eee PCs to market, and its first - the Eee PC T91 - could hit UK shores later this month. The netbook-turned-tablet system, pictured below, is reported to be on course to launch in late May or early June 2009.
Good news for those eagerly awaiting an Eee PC in tablet form, but there's bad news for those on a budget. Despite reports earlier in the year suggesting that the system should hit stores with a price tag of around £400, it is now believed to be launching with an asking price in the region of £450.
That, we reckon, is a lot to ask for what appears to be little more than an 8.9in netbook with a swivelling touchscreen display. Inside, ASUS is said to be opting with Intel's Silverthorne line of Z-series Atom processors, coupled with Intel's US15W chipset. That'll be joined by 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 32GB solid state drive and, somewhat surprisingly, an optional TV tuner.
