The 46th week of 2011 is drawing to a close, and in terms of tech, this is one that has been dominated by the launch of Intel's latest and greatest processor.

Known as Sandy Bridge Extreme, it's the fastest desktop CPU ever to pass through the HEXUS labs and for your reading pleasure, we have in-depth reviews of both new chips - the range-topping Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition and its toned-down counterpart, the Core i7-3930K.

Intel's new chips are an ultimate upgrade, but if you prefer to take a pre-built route, we've also served up a review of Scan's latest 3XS PC. Prefer to take your high-performance gear on the road? Take a look at Gigabyte's P2532N laptop - it features a Core i7 processor, dedicated NVIDIA graphics and a full-HD, 15.6in display.

On the gaming front, we have reviews of two of the year's hottest titles - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. One of the two has exceeded our expectations, but can you guess which one?

Speaking of Elder Scrolls, if you've become addicted to the game, take a look at our dragon-slaying guide for a couple of pointers and find out if Bethesda has managed to slay the competition in this week's UK gaming chart.

In other news, Apple has issued a worldwide recall of the first-generation iPod nano, RIM has launched two new BlackBerry smartphones, we've seen the craziest GTX 560 Ti graphics card known to man, and Microsoft has vowed to make Windows 8 "a little less annoying!"

On top of all that, there's still time to enter our Be Quiet competition, and don't forget to have your say in our Question of the Week.
