Galaxy outdo all others with new NVIDIA bits and bobs
I've been harping on about NVIDIA's reference cooler for 7600 GT and 7900 GT being a bit pants for all of CeBIT, as I cover the other vendors. I got round to seeing Galaxy today and lo and behold, they've apparently had the designs long enough to not only create a brand new PCB (possibly just 6600 GT's, although I'd have to check) for 7600 GT, but to test and authorise new 3rd party coolers for new SKUs.
The company will shortly be delivering to retail a pair of 7600 GTs with new coolers (active and passive) and smaller PCB, and a 7900 GT using a new cooler. Utter winner.
Galaxy don't change clocks, sticking to 450/660 for 7900 GT, and 560/700 for 7600 GT. Zalman is the cooler vendor of choice for Galaxy, for both active and passive 7600 GTs, and Zalman also cools the new 7900 GT as you'll see below.
No word on prices until after CeBIT (as far as we're aware), so we'll bring you that info when we can.
