Sapphire had added to its Vapor-X family of graphics cards, turning to AMD's HD 6850 GPU for some inspiration.
Featuring clock speeds of 800MHz and 1,100MHz (4,400MHz effective) for the GPU and 1,024MB onboard GDDR5 memory respectively, the HD 6850 Vapor-X Edition SKU is beefed up with a 10-phase VRM, plus the manufacturer also claims a significant margin for overclocking - thanks to the use of black diamond chokes.
As its name suggests, the HD 6850 Vapor-X Edition is kitted out with Sapphire's Vapor-X cooling solution, to keep thermals in check, and the company also offers its TriXX overclocking tool - downloadable for free via its website - to enable some under-the-hood dabbling in the overclocking arts.
