Sapphire's HD 3450, HD 3470 and HD 3650 now available
Sapphire Technology claims to be "the manufacturer offering the widest range of graphics and media solutions for the PC" and to that extent, it has officially announced it's forthcoming lineup of Radeon-based graphics cards.
Available as of today are the following:
- Sapphire HD 3450
Featuring core clock speeds of 600MHz, the HD 3450 will be available in various versions. Options include a choice of 512MB or 256MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 500MHz and some low profile models. All models will feature passive cooling and connectivity options of DVI, VGA, TV out and HDMI.
- Sapphire HD 3470
The 3470, a full height ATX card, carries a core clock speed of 800MHz and memory clocks of 700MHz. As with the 3450, it'll be avaliable in various versions with similar options.
- Sapphire HD 3650
The 3650 is available in two versions, one with 512MBs of GDDR3 memory clocked at 900MHz and the other with 512MBs of GDDR2 memory clocked at 500MHz. Both versions will feature a core clock of 725MHz and both will utilise a single-slot fan assisted cooler.
The new low-to-mid-range offering will replace the Radeon HD 2000 series, though not wowed by any means with the new ATI range, our recent comparison concluded that the new HD 3000 series offer similar 3D performance to the HD 2000, yet are more future-proof.
We'll be putting samples of Radeon HD 3470 and Radeon HD 3650 GPUs through their paces in the very near future. Stay tuned to see how they fare.
