AMD's FX-Series CPUs were launched earlier this month and during September, we heard that the FX-8150 had touched a record-breaking speed of 8.429GHz.

News has emerged that this 8.429GHz peak has been eclipsed - once again by an FX-8150 - which managed to put out 8.461GHz.

With overclocker - Andre Yang - at the helm, it appears that the FX-8150 CPU devoured 1.992V and utilised a 31X multiplier - together with a base clock speed of 272.95MHz - to hit its achievement.

Only two of the eight core were actually enabled, but as was similar with the previous record-breaker, ASUS' Crosshair V Formula mainboard was part of the equation.
