Mérignac, France - 22 July, 2010 - PNY Technologies introduces the second generation of its High-Speed Optima SSDs (Solid State Drives): Optima 2.5'' SATA II/USB 2.0.
Designed for multi-purpose use, PNY's Optima 2.5'' SSD makes for the perfect memory upgrade for your computer. Boasting a capacity that is still extremely rare in today's portable memory market, the SSD is the ideal companion for the computer user on-the-go! A form of Flash memory, the SSD's non-mechanical technology makes it more shock-resistant and a more reliable alternative to traditional hard drives.
In order to offer users the best price/performance ratio, PNY has chosen to use MLC (Multi Layer Cell) Flash memory with reading/writing speeds of up to 235 Mb/sec and 150 Mb/sec.
Even the most demanding of users will also be delighted with the compatibility of PNY's SSDs with the Windows 7 operating system on a day-to-day level.

PNY's internal High-Speed Optima SSDs are available in both 64 and 128 Gb capacities from today onwards through PNY's regular distribution network. They will also be available in 256 Gb shortly.
