Coolergiant, the official UK source for the highly acclaimed Enermax range of power supplies for PC systems has just introduced a range of MicroATX power supplies developed for the latest generation of small format desktop and mini-tower cases.
Delivering a full 270Watts, the Enermax EG285SX series is physically compatible with most MicroATX case styles and will support systems with a wide range of processors up to Intel P4 and AMD Athlon 64/FX. Special features include an Enhanced +12V output current and provision of the +12V (CPU) power connector in addition to a standard ATX mainboard connector, and cables for conventional disk drives and SATA drives.
This intelligent power supply has full thermal control over its 8cm fan, automatically adjusting fan speed based on temperatures detected inside the power supply keeping noise levels low. In addition, the SX series has Enermax’s patented Smart Fan function.
Smart Fan technology was developed by Enermax to protect the high levels of investment in PC components today. After system shutdown, the internal fan continues to run for another two minutes to cool off the power supply and extract hot air from inside the case. This will greatly increase the life of the power supply and other components.
Like other Enermax power supplies, the SX has extensive Safety Approvals, including UL, cUL, TUV and NEMKO. It is also EMC compatible with CE, FCC, CNS directives.
