London, UK September 16, 2015: Buffalo Technology, the global manufacturer of storage and networking solutions, today announced that it will offer an extended VIP warranty on all new purchases of populated TeraStation™.

The extended warranty will offer customers up to a total of five years of protection. The one-year extension of warranty for the TeraStation 1200D (up to 8TB) will cost around £189. A 2-year extension for the TeraStation 7100r (up to 96TB) will cost approximately £2399. The one to two years of extended warranty for the other TeraStations will come in between this pricing range.

This is one or two years’ more protection, on top of the standard three-year guarantee for all TeraStations. This VIP guarantee includes next day delivery (within the EU) of replacement hard disk drives (HDDs) if required.

Available for purchase via TeraStation™ resellers, the warranty will need to be activated within 60 days of a TeraStation™ purchase.

Hiroshi Nagao, Managing Director of Buffalo EU B.V., says: “Buffalo is introducing this extended warranty to provide partners and customers with peace of mind they’re making a safe decision. For some companies, especially in the public sector, a five-year warranty is a requirement for new IT investment. We are confident of the TeraStation™ range’s quality and suitability for business applications, and want to make it easier for both private and public organisations to access the benefits of TeraStation™ products.”
