Added features offers increased functionality
05/28/2015 – Thecus recently updated their ThecusOS™ 5 to include the Disk Clone and Disk Wipe utilities. These additions to the comprehensive set of features offered by the operating system provide users with even more functionality.
Disk Clone is a utility that allows users to copy the contents of one hard disk to one or many other disks. This enables users to save time by avoiding the creation and formatting of partitions as well as the installation of operating systems and other software applications. Disk cloning is used in a variety of tasks including hard drive upgrades, provisioning of new computers, and full system recovery via backup, restoration or reboot.
Providing users with a feature that allows for permanent volume data destruction, Disk Wipe erases all disk data to prevent any type of recovery. Using powerful algorithms that occupy data space with meaningless binary data, Data Wipe leaves the possibility of recovering data almost non-existent. While some data that is deleted can be reconstructed using the right software, Data Wipe provides a means for permanent deletion, ensuring users complete privacy and security.
