Buffalo Technology launches enterprise-class storage servers

London, UK, January 16 2013: Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wireless, networking and storage solutions, today launches its first enterprise-class storage range, the TeraStation 7000 series. The TeraStationTM 7120r and TeraStation 7120r Enterprise are the first in a series of high-end NAS and iSCSI storage servers packed with business-class features and advanced functionality.

The 12-bay, 2 rack unit, mountable devices feature powerful Intel® Xeon® quad core processors, upgradeable DDR3 RAM and enterprise-class hard drive configurations. They are ideal for businesses that require a cost-effective, scalable RAID-based network storage solution for large networks and business critical applications.

TeraStation 7120r Enterprise

The TeraStation 7120r Enterprise TS-2RZHD has 24TB of high performance, scalable storage, along with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and is fully populated across 12 enterprise-class hard drives.

The Intel Xeon E3-1275 quad core processor enables businesses to run many programs with minimal performance impact and maintain maximum network throughput while replication and backup jobs run in the background.

The device is packed with business-class features such as Active Directory support, disk quota support, share level replication, quad gigabit Ethernet ports supporting link aggregation up to 4Gbps, hot-swap hard drives, iSCSI targeting and add-on PCI-Express card support with approved devices.

TeraStation 7120r

The TeraStation 7120r TS-2RZSD is a 12-bay device is partially populated with four standard SATA hard drives. It features the Intel Xeon E3-1225 quad core processor and 4GB of upgradeable DDR3 RAM.

With eight available bays for capacity expansion, TeraStation 7120r provides simple scalability for future demands. It is packed with the same business-class features and functionality as the Enterprise device.

Availability:

The TeraStation 7120r and 7120r Enterprise will be available from Buffalo's stockists in the UK. The TeraStation 7120r will be available in 8TB and 12TB at an MSRP of £2,829.99 and £3,129.99 respectively. The 7120r Enterprise will be available in 24TB at an MSRP of £5,949.99.
