Amsterdam, 22 August 2019 – MMD, the leading display specialist and brand license partner for Philips monitors, has announced three new Philips Momentum displays, the 55” (142 cm) 558M1RY, the 31.5” (80 cm) 328M1R and the 27” (68.6 cm) 278M1R. Targeted at console gamers, these yet-to-be-released models were unveiled in the Gamescom business area. All non-business visitors are welcome to take a look at monitors for all kinds of gamers that are displayed in hall 10.1 stand A-080 where MMD showcases its gaming monitors alongside those from AOC on 102m² of exhibition space.

Three upcoming additions to the Philips Momentum product range will be available as of Q1 2020. As a standout from the trio, the 55” Philips Momentum 558M1RY delivers UltraClear 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and VESA-verified DisplayHDR 1000 to invite players to jump straight into the action. The sound is exceptional, too. No wonder as it is the result of a collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins. Every gaming session benefits from balanced bass, crystal clear voice and immersive audio performance. Three selectable audio modes specifically developed for games let users fine-tune the experience to their liking.

Featuring DisplayHDR 600, the 31.5” Philips Momentum 328M1R displays a broad range of contrast at 120 Hz refresh rate and in 4K resolution to make gaming sessions with darkened environments even easier on the eyes. With its 27” format, the Philips Momentum 278M1R delivers frame rates of 60 Hz to produce crisp and stutter-free 4K resolution images.
All three monitors feature the innovative signature Ambiglow technology, a halo of light that makes all kinds of entertainment extend beyond the edges of the screen for the most immersive experience. All three Momentums are equipped with Adaptive-Sync technology for silky smooth images and low input lag. In interplay with the SmartImage technology game mode, Philips monitors deliver visuals that leave nothing to be desired for passionate console owners.

This year’s joint, 102m2 sized consumer booth, located at stand A-080 in hall 10.1, offers a plethora of Philips’ and AOC’s finest gaming monitors. With the goal of offering users the perfect match no matter the game, AOC completes the display line-up with competitive-level PC monitors, while Philips delivers the best experience for all console gaming enthusiasts. Their optimised 43’’ Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB and 32’’ Philips Momentum 326M6VJRMB monitors can be tested out on games such as Kingdom Hearts III, F1 2019, Overcooked! 2, Forza Horizon 4: Lego Speed Champions DLC, Jump Force, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Stranger Things 3: The Game, and more.
