PRESS RELEASE
Amsterdam, 30 August 2018 – In hall 22, visitors can discover the exciting new line-up of Philips monitors, including SuperWide screens and touch solutions for greater productivity, USB-C docking for better connectivity, curved and ultra-slim screens for enhanced immersion, models dedicated to console gaming, and much more.
Monitors for productivity and entertainment alike
The 2018-2019 Philips monitors line-up has something for everyone. Professional as well as home users are certain to appreciate Philips’ latest innovations, whether their goal is to gain office efficiency, heighten their enjoyment of movies or gaming, reduce clutter, improve their ergonomic comfort, or treat themselves to high-performance graphics.
Seamless design: frameless, slim, curved
A 4-sided frameless design is a key feature of several of the latest Philips displays, which makes them ideal for tiling. With their truly seamless appearance, these monitors are also exceptionally slim, measuring as little as 6.1 mm, while curved models offer a more immersive user experience whether at home or at work.
The perfect ally: a dedicated monitor for console gamers
Designed for console gamers, the revolutionary Momentum line offers console gamers superb picture quality, rapid response time, and low input lag to ensure stutter and tear-free fast-paced gaming in addition to a multitude of additional features for enhanced comfort, connectivity, and enjoyment.
Seeing the big picture: SuperWide screens
The new line-up also features a monitor with a super-wide 32:9 screen. These generous proportions enable more efficient multi-tasking by offering more information on one screen whilst eliminating the distraction of the centre bar associated with screen tiling. SuperWide screens also save considerable space by replacing the extra stands and cables that accompany multi-screen use with a single, easy-to-install unit. These ultra-large screens also provide an enhanced ergonomic user experience courtesy of a fully adjustable monitor and balanced view distance for less neck and shoulder fatigue.
Just the right touch: tactile screens
Touch-screen technology is featured in a variety of this year’s Philips monitors. Their B2B Touch Monitors use Projected-Capacitive (P-Cap) touch and support up to 10 points in addition to advanced IP54 protection against water and dust. These screens also feature smooth and easy tilting to provide users the flexibility of choosing their preferred angle for greater ergonomic comfort.
Convenient connectivity: USB-C docking
Many of the upcoming professional Philips monitors are equipped with USB-C docking, offering optimised connectivity to match the new notebook standard while meeting the needs of today’s flexible working environments. Featuring a slim, bi-directional, reversible connector, USB type C offers easy one-cable docking that enables users to transfer data securely at the fastest data speeds available, charge their devices, hook up their display to phones and notebooks, and connect to peripherals simply and quickly.
