Berlin, Germany (August 31, 2012) -Created from scratch to set new standards in design and user experience, the new premium Acer Aspire S7 UltrabookTM series take mobile computing a step further, adding to the mix of performance and aesthetics the user-friendliness of the touch experience that will also take advantage of the new features of Window 8.
The Aspire S7 UltrabooksTM are available in two sizes, 13.3 and 11.6- inch and share the same great features designed to provide a superb user experience. Both models come with a sleek aluminum unibody chassis, making them exceptionally slim and light, yet tough enough to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. What's more, a glossy, sculpted Gorilla 2 glass cover graces the 13.3-inch model with a trendy and sophisticated look.
Both models sport a Full HD 10-point touch display that shows sharp and detailed images when watching movies or playing games and offers a smoother and more accurate touch experience. The touch experience is also enhanced by the new Acer Ring, Acer's signature touch interface designed to provide a fast way of browsing the web, playing music, or viewing photos, videos and documents. With the Acer Ring content is king and is presented neatly and clearly, while new Edge Gesture brings up the control layer.
For content sharing and better team working, the display of the lager model opens flat, offering new ways of communication that are more productive and fun. The 13.3-inch model offers up to 12 hours of battery life, while the 11.6-inch model can run for up to 9 hours, to ensure a full day of on-demand productivity and media consumption from a single charge. To make the best of the powerful performance components, Acer designed its innovative Acer Twin Air cooling system to produce efficient cooling and deliver the best thermal comfort.
Acer's S7 Series also features a light-sensing keyboard, which automatically detects changes in lighting conditions and adjusts the keyboard backlight brightness. The Acer touchpad enhances usability, sensitivity, accuracy and the overall touch experience for better productivity.
These premium devices also feature Acer Green Instant On for fast boot and resume and Acer Always Connect technology, which let users connect to the Internet and access their data in almost zero seconds at anytime, anywhere.
