Calling in at one of the summer’s most exciting events, the Intel Inside® Your Life roadshow and Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology balloon will bring wireless technology to life for those attending the Fiesta, proving that the sky’s the limit when it comes to technology. Those lucky enough to fly in the Intel balloon will be able to take digital photos and wirelessly transmit them back to terra firma.
The roadshow is traveling to 15 locations across the UK and Ireland during June, July and August, demonstrating all the exciting ways that new technologies can get inside your life – whether it’s taking digital photos or listening to the latest tunes on the Net. In partnership with some of the biggest high street names such as PC World, Dixons, Jessops, John Lewis and BT, Intel aims to take the stress out of going digital.
There will be a number of stands, each featuring interactive demonstrations to give ‘hands-on’ experience, and expert advice from hosts who will explain all in simple terms. Plus, there will be great prizes up for grabs, with top-of-the-range PCs and laptops.
Whatever their age, everyone will be able to get the low down on the latest fun and useful technologies available:
Live The Wireless Lifestyle
The newest and most convenient way to surf the Net and access emails is without wires. Wireless ‘hotspots’ are springing up in locations such as airports, stations, cafes and bars around the UK, meaning that with many new laptops, users can send or receive email in a hotspot without having to plug in a modem or access a telephone line. With the Intel Inside Your Life roadshow, Intel will bring the world of wireless to your doorstep.
Gaming
Budding racing drivers can hone their skills using the specially designed rally car game, available on the Intel stand. And for those who fancy pitting their wits against other ‘joy-stick jockeys’, there will be a four-way gaming capsule featuring the latest James Bond computer game. The top scorer at the end of the Summer Roadshow will win a great new laptop, and be invited to compete in a mini Masters UK Grand Final, taking place in Manchester on 30 August.
Homework Headstart
Learn how to give kids a head start on homework with the learning zone. In association with BTOpenworld, Intel will be demonstrating handy programs and applications based around the school curriculum that will show kids that homework needn’t be a chore.
Family Fun
The family entertainment area will be of interest to the whole family, young or old. It includes demonstrations on how to revolutionise photo albums by putting them onto DVD with a musical soundtrack, how to research your family tree using the Internet, or even give yourself a virtual makeover – the safest way to try out a daring haircut without the use of scissors!
