Next generation DirectX 11 and HTPC feature
The world-class mainboard and graphics card manufacturer, MSI, officially launches the R6790-2PM2D1GD5 Graphics Card supporting DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4a outputs. The R6790-2PM2D1GD5's Thermal Design sports a large 9cm fan cooling a dense aluminium fin array, which in turn are directly connected to the GPU through the use of three heatpipes that make contact with the GPU. Thanks to the excellent cooler, overclocking results with MSI's Afterburner are excellent and overclocks of 25% and higher are easily attained making the R6790-2PM2D1GD5 ready to run at 1000 MHz clock frequencies. The R6790-2PM2D1GD5 is bundled with the latest version of MSI Afterburner and supports the MSI Predator video capturing software, making the purchase of other video capturing software unnecessary.
Powerful 9cm PWM fan for extra cooling
The R6790-2PM2D1GD5 uses direct contact heat pipes to more efficiently cool the GPU. A 9cm PWM fan provides 50% more airflow compared to the reference design. Overall, this results in lower temperatures of the graphics core and an excellent base for reaching higher overclock speeds for extra performance.
MSI Exclusive Afterburner with MSI Predator
The MSI R6790-2PM2D1GD5 graphics cards leverages the unique possibilities of MSI's exclusive Afterburner software, allows GPU Overvoltage and adjustment of the fan speeds depending on the card's load. MSI Afterburner can store up to five settings profiles, allowing the user to strike the best balance between performance and a silent working environment.

To ensure the best stability, MSI's R6800 series graphics cards use All Solid Capacitors to ensure perfect operation under all load circumstances.
