Worldwide renowned graphics card and mainboard manufacturer MSI is pleased to announce that it's R6870 Hawk card is currently holding the world records for HD 6870 cards in 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark05 and 3DMark06. In Fact MSI's 6870 graphics cards dominate six out of seven ranked benchmarks on world's most populare overclocking site HWBOT.org. Overclocking records are a testament engineering prowess, build quality and the quality of components used and it's exactly these factors that make the difference when operating during extreme overclocking.

The Danish overclocker said "For the R6870 Hawk MSI has increased the PWM to an 8+2 phase setup, allowing me to actually operate the card under extreme overclocking conditions because of the huge amounts of current required. With MSI's Afterburner software with Triple Overclocking I was able to safely apply Triple Overvoltage without the change of damaging the card through hardware modifications. MSI has already put them in place on the R6870 Hawk and enabled me to effortlessly increase my GPU, Memory an VDDCI voltages and break the world records in 3DMark05, 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage for the HD6870."

The MSI R6870 Hawk is a part of MSI's family of Performance Overclocking cards. Previous Generation Hawk models, the R5570 Hawk and N460GTX Hawk, qualities were improved upon with the R6870.
