ELSA introduces entire new range of Consumer
Graphics boards
with launch of ELSA GLADIAC 921, ELSA GLADIAC 721 and ELSA GLADIAC 516
products
New boards use latest generation GPU's from NVIDIA
THEALE, October 1 2001 - Computer graphics and networking
vendor ELSA has launched its new range of consumer graphics boards, catering
for every level of computer gamer from those requiring an entry-level system
to extreme gamers. The GPUs are based on new NVIDIA GeForce Titanium
family
of GPUs which utilise NVIDIA's high-performance Detonator XP driver,
incorporating special software optimisations that take full advantage of the
newest features of the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system.
Adam Foat, graphics product manager for ELSA commented: "The
new range is another exciting development from ELSA, that will equip all
levels of gamers with the latest GPU technology from NVIDIA at excellent
prices across the market. Each new board in the ELSA GLADIAC range
supports
XP, and the 721 and 921 boards offer new heat- and fan-sinks. This means
they have a lower noise level, are much better at dissipating heat, and in
consequence have an even longer lifetime. And with the increased speeds
offered by each new board in the ELSA range, the price performance is
incredibly attractive."
The new top of the range ELSA GLADIAC 921 TV-Out is based on
NVIDIA's new GeForce3 Titanium 500 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), with a 64
MB Doubled Data Rate (DDR) memory and a DVI output. The ELSA GLADIAC
921
has a core clock speed of 240 Mhz, with a memory clock speed of 500 Mhz and
is at £379.99 inc. VAT, aimed at demanding high-end gamers looking for a
cutting-edge solution. The board will be bundled with the new 3D adventure
game, "Dronez", and is due to be shipped week beginning October 15th.
The ELSA GLADIAC 721 TV-Out is aimed at mid-range gamers
looking for excellent graphics performance and reliability at a highly
competitive price. Based on NVIDIA's GeForce3 Titanium 200 GPU, it also
offers 64 MB of DDR memory, with a core clock speed of 175 Mhz and a memory
clock rate of 400 Mhz. It is bundled with the "Giants:Citizen Kabuto"
3D
game, and the full version of 3D Mark 2001, and retails at £249.99 inc. VAT.
The ELSA GLADIAC 721 is due to be shipped week beginning October 1st.
For entry-level gamers that still require the best solution
in this end of the market, ELSA is announcing its ELSA GLADIAC 516 TV-Out
board. Using the new NVIDIA GeForce2 Titanium GPU, the ELSA GLADIAC 516
has
64 MB of DDR memory, and offers a core clock speed of 250Mhz and a memory
clock rate of 400 Mhz. Priced at £139.99 inc. VAT, the ELSA GLADIAC 516
will come with the latest game bundle and is due to be shipped week
beginning October 15th.
TV Out means users can view 3D games on a home TV. In the
business environment this allows corporate presentations, streaming video or
call centre agent information to be displayed on a large screen.
