AMD has announced that the Apple Mac Pro will harness the power of the new AMD Radeon Pro W5700X GPU. Built on the high-performance, energy-efficient AMD RDNA architecture with high-bandwidth GDDR6 VRAM, the Radeon Pro W5700X allows 3D designers, architects and engineers to spend less time rendering and more time on what matters most – designing.

Key features of the Radeon Pro W5700X GPU include:

  • Exceptional compute performance – Equipped with 40 compute units, the Radeon Pro W5700X delivers up to 9.5 TFLOPS of theoretical single-precision (FP32) floating point performance.
