INTEL ANNOUNCES WORLD'S FIRST 2 GIGAHERTZ MICROPROCESSOR

FOR MOBILE PCs

Mobility milestone meets European business demand for
high-speed notebook PCs

June 24, 2002 -- Intel today announced the world's first
microprocessor designed for mobile PCs to operate at 2 gigahertz (GHz) - or two
billion cycles per second. The new mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-M delivers
the highest levels of performance for business notebooks and offers faster
digital media and increased business productivity. "The introduction of the 2GHz
mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor-M is a mobile computing milestone. Combined
with attractive system prices and wireless technologies the new processor will
help deliver productivity gains which are key in today's business environments,"
said John Woodget, director of marketing for Intel in EMEA (Europe, Middle East
and Africa).

"High performance, speed, memory and good battery life
are the main features European business customers are looking for in notebook
PCs today*," Woodget continued. "Crossing the 2GHz performance threshold will
enable PC manufacturers to design notebook PCs which meet all these needs along
with the growing demand for connectivity via wireless LANs and for small form
factor mobile PCs." Industry analysts, IDC reported that the notebook PC market
grew by 14.9% during the first quarter of 2002** and Gartner predicts that over
the next four years, notebook sales will grow at almost twice the rate of the
overall PC market***. As the mobile processor and technology leader, delivering
more than one billion mobile CPUs into the market, Intel is committed to
designing high performance processors, chipsets and wireless solutions for every
type of mobile PC and is helping to drive this growth.

Work And Play On The Go

Notebook PCs continue to be critical business
productivity tools and the mobile Pentium 4 processor-M has the performance to
run several productivity applications simultaneously while also running
background programs such as encryption, compression, virus scan, client
management, and Virtual Private Networks.

"We've benefited from this productivity increase
ourselves at Intel," John Woodget explains, "Sixty percent of Intel employees
use mobile PCs and the higher performance combined with secure wireless
connectivity brings us dramatic efficiencies."

Mobile PCs are also increasingly being bought by
consumers who value the freedom and flexibility of today's high performance
notebooks and the growing choice of styles and sizes. With a new mobile Intel
Pentium 4 processor-M based notebook people can listen to MP3 music files,
entertain the children with a DVD movie and stay connected with family and
friends.

New Ways To Measure Mobile Performance

According to the newest mobile benchmark from BAPCo,
MobileMark(tm) 2002, users of Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor-M based laptops
at 2 GHz will experience two times faster performance on multitasking office
productivity applications and almost three hours of battery life compared to the
fastest mobile processor just one year ago (Mobile Intel Pentium III processor).
In addition, consumers will find almost two times better performance in their
Internet experience according to the WebMark* benchmark when using the same
comparisons.

Products, Specifications and Pricing

Intel also announced the mobile Intel Pentium 4
processor-M at 1.90 GHz and mobile Intel® Celeron® processors at 1.50, 1.40 and
1.33 GHz. The Intel Celeron processors at 1.50 and 1.40 GHz feature a 400 MHz
system bus and the 1.33 GHz features a 133 MHz system bus. All of the processors
are available throughout EMEA and are shipping in volume worldwide with systems
available from all leading PC makers. Intel's entire line of mobile processors
is designed on its 0.13-micron technology offering the highest levels of
performance and low power consumption. The mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M
family is available at speeds of 2, 1.90, 1.80, 1.70, 1.60, 1.50 and 1.40 GHz.
The processor includes 55 million transistors, features support for the Enhanced
Intel

Speed Step technology and the Deeper Sleep Alert sleep
state.

In 1,000-unit quantities, in Micro-Flip Chip Pin Grid
Array (uFCPGA) packaging, the mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor-M at 2 and 1.90
GHz are priced at $637 and $401 respectively. In 1,000-unit quantities, in
Micro-Flip Chip Pin Grid Array (uFCPGA) packaging, the mobile Celeron processor
at 1.50, 1.40 and 1.33 GHz are priced at $170, $149 and $134 respectively.
