Nine Hundred gaming case offers flexibility and quiet cooling

October 24, 2006 – Antec, Inc., the leading global brand of high-performance computer components for the PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself markets, has announced the release of its latest gaming case, Nine Hundred, designed for extreme hardcore gaming.
  • The Antec Nine Hundred has a highly sophisticated quiet cooling system and allows a system to be easily customised. Gaming hardware produces significant amounts of heat, and Nine Hundred’s design incorporates several cooling features, the most outstanding of which is the top-mounted 200mm
  • TriCool fan with 3-speed control. Other cooling features include a perforated front bezel, three 120mm TriCool fans for HDD and system cooling, and two additional mounts for optional 120mm fans to cool graphic cards and the CPU. The large fans enable Nine Hundred to deliver quiet cooling to systems made up of even the highest end components. Furthermore, the power supply unit (PSU) mounts on the bottom of the case for improved thermal and Quiet Computing performance.
  • The modular design of Nine Hundred allows system builders to take full control over the placement of the front fans and hard drive cages. The chassis features nine 5.25” drive bays allowing users to decide where they place hard drives and optical components. Two frontloading HDD cages hold up to six hard disk drives, with all HDD cages functioning as air ducts to pull in cool air as efficiently as possible.
Nine Hundred’s exterior design is sleek with a classic black finish, ideal for a LAN party or suitable in the home or the office. The blue LED fans beautifully accent the case, which also features a window side panel with an optional 120mm fan mount. The location of this fan mount is ideal to direct cool outside air toward two graphic cards.

“Gaming enthusiasts are among the most advanced computer hardware users, and Antec is dedicated to producing products able to withstand the demands of the most hardcore gamers,” said Scott Richards, senior vice president for Antec. “The Nine Hundred was designed from the standpoint of today’s ambitious and innovative gaming system builder, allowing the flexibility to create powerful systems while ensuring low noise levels and adequate cooling for extremely advanced systems.”

The top mounted I/O ports include USB 2.0, FireWire and audio connectors to allow users to quickly and easily connect a variety of multimedia products to Nine Hundred without having to reach around the back of their computer. There’s even a tray to store an MP3 player or other device while it is connected to the top USB port. Nine Hundred supports up to standard ATX motherboards.

The Nine Hundred is available for an estimated street price of £86 through major retailers, e-tailers and distributors. It is backed by Antec’s Quality 3-Year Warranty. For additional product information and full technical specifications, please visit Antec.com.
