PRESS RELEASE
Hannover, 23.01.2013: Xilence, a specialist in cooling, power supply and noise reduction for PCs and laptops, is launching the "XILENCE replaces your old tat" campaign today.
Users can submit their ideas to http://aktion.xilence.net starting today.
The manufacturer wants to know how users would destroy their boring or obsolete computer cases. The sky is the limit here, as Xilence proves with its own sample videos (http://aktion.xilence.net).
"We have PCs going up in flames, cars crashing into them, and even testing whether cases are bulletproof," says Bastian Fröhlig, Xilence's PR Manager, who is looking forward to seeing just how creative users can get. Users have until 18th of February 2013 to submit their idea in text form.
After that users can vote until the end of January on the three ideas they like the most. "Until then there's no need for anyone to take a saw to his case," says Fröhlig.
But then things get serious. The three users with the most votes will have three weeks to submit their case destruction videos. As soon as these reach Xilence, there is a new Xilence Interceptor Pro in it for them worth almost €250.
"Plenty of space for upgrades, and better than any other grey box you could have under your desk," he says. You can see the destruction ideas dreamed up by the Xilence crew at http://aktion.xilence.net.
