The anonymous nature of the Internet makes it a great place to vent, so while there's no shortage of negative reviews out there, you don't tend to hear about exemplary customer service all too often.
Yet for a lot of consumers customer service plays a crucial role in our buying decisions, and I'm sure many of us would consider paying a little extra if there's a chance it'll save any inconvenience further down the road. So for this week's question, we're asking you to keep your sob stories at the door and shed some light on the companies that go above and beyond in the name of customer satisfaction.
I'll get the ball rolling with a left-field nomination for First Direct. A bank first and foremost, I'm considering First Direct a tech company due to its focus on mobile or laptop interaction, and it offers a level of service I would describe as outstanding. There's always someone to talk to, the staff are both courteous and knowledgeable, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending the bank to others.
