Konami has unveiled a new team-based game mode for its Metal Gear Online title. The new mode is available to all users of Metal Gear Online and adds a new way to enjoy the game.

In Bomb Mission, teams are charged with destroying or protecting an area on the game map. Players are charged with either planting timed explosives in the city and protecting the bomb until it goes off; or nullifying the explosive with a coolant solution, thus making for a tense battle between the two teams.

This new Bomb Mission Mode will be available on Tuesday, January 27th.

Metal Gear Online is a multiplayer spin-off of the Metal Gear Solid series. Players are dropped in a series of war zones wherein different challenges await. This latest game mode comes in addition to the five modes that are currently available : Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture and Base and Sneaking missions.
