Microsoft vice-president Peter Moore has landed a knock-out comment in the war for console domination. At the E3 expo he said,"Tell me why you would buy a US$600 PS3? People are going to buy two (consoles). They're going to buy an Xbox 360 and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3."
According to Strategy Analytics, Sony dominates the world game market with a 66 percent share, while Microsoft and Nintendo each hold 17 percent.
Nintendo have not yet issued the price of their Wii console, but SEGA have commented that it will retail for under $200. The tension between the two giants has been bubbling away over the past couple of days and Moore has finally popped his cork - and it's landed right in the eye of Sony.
No doubt we'll hear a response from Sony shortly.
